“Gary …
once again very many thanks for
conducting your ‘Winners Edge’ session for the Royal Navy Judo Squad
prior to
the Inter Service Championships … it is without doubt that due to your
contribution the players produced some of the best results of recent
years,
bringing back 1 Gold, 2
Silver and 8 bronze medals. Most of the players used
the mind techniques you taught them in one way or another, and I am
certain
that the success of these techniques was mirrored in their performance!”

Gary Foster at the Bedford Hypnotherapy Clinic
specialises in helping sports people reach their peak performance by
using a combination of proven methods consisting of hypnosis, NLP and
visualisation.
He believes in walking his talk, so a few years
ago he decided to see how far he could improve his Judo skills by
attempting to break the World record for the most throws ... along with
his training partner Lee Finney, he set a new record at 20,052!
However, once wasn't enough, so the following year
they broke their record again and achieved 27,083 throws in just under
7 hours. Gary puts the major success of achieving the almost impossible
down to regular visualisation sessions as well as hypnosis, where he
created a specific anchor to trigger off 'peak performance feelings'
with just the squeeze of a finger and thumb!
He actively helps elite sports people achieve
success on a regular basis and is heading up 'Project 2012' which is a
programme set up to help up and coming sports men and women.
Whatever your sport you have probably experienced
yourself performing well below your usual standard, perhaps after a bad
day at work, or even just after a passing comment from your opponent
and often, once the mistakes and problems start, they just get bigger
or more frequent.
Once a pattern of poor performance begins it is
often difficult to a) work out why it started, and b) work out how to
stop it.
Sports hypnosis can help: it is used by household
names, club players and casual players alike, to break this cycle, to
return them to a balanced relaxed attitude towards their sport….and to improve
technique and performance.
The simple truth is that the better you feel, the
more focused you are, the better you perform.
If you want to play consistently well, to perform
to your best ability, you need to harness the power of your mind and to
direct it towards your sport.
Just look for example at Tiger Woods, he's been quoted
as saying that he visualises the shot he is about to take. He always
sees it going well, he always performs to the best of his ability in
those few seconds before he actually hits the ball, so, when it comes
to the real thing, he just expects a good result…..and he gets it.
There are several different techniques used within
a sports hypnosis session or programme - the choice of method will
depend on your goals and your current problems.
In 1996 Steve Collins beat Chris
Eubank for the World Boxing Organisations Super-middleweight title.
Much of his success being attributed to the focusing of attention
created by hypnosis. Collins was programmed to deliver two punches to
Eubank’s one. In the fight Eubank threw 300 punches, Collins threw over
600! Again, the power of hypnosis releases an awesome outcome!
So, if you want to be able to tap into the same
peak performance as Steve Collins did, just give Gary a call today on 01234 330 340 or send him an email
